Welcome   to   Little  Rowden  Farm

Cultivating  Craft,
the craft of cultivating

At Little Rowden, we believe that the finest products come from a deep respect for nature and a commitment to artisanal quality. Our journey began with our vision to create an agroforestry sustainable farm that promotes biodiversity and honours the alpacas who provide us with soft wool and graze our land, the bees who produce our delicious and wild honey and pollinate our orchard. We take pride in our fresh eggs, gathered daily from our free-range hens. We are more than a farm; we are a family dedicated to the well-being of our animals and the joy of sharing our harvest.

The Gentle Alpacas

Meet the sisters Clementine and Luz.

Our alpaca herd provide a truly special, eco-friendly fibre that is as kind to the earth as it is to you. This natural wool offers wonderful warmth and breathable comfort, perfect for anyone who loves soft, sustainable luxury.

Alpacas were brought onto our land as natural meadow maintainers. They forage the hedges, keep back the brambles, blackthorn and ivy in a delicate manner (fossil fuel free hedge trimmers)

the Alpacas need to be sheared before it gets too hot for them around about May for us. Giving them plenty of time to grow a new fleece for the next winter.  We use the fleece to make yarn, pillows and duvets.

Bees & Honey

  • Our bees are managed using sustainable, low impact practices. We never harvest more than the bees can spare.
  • Raw, natural wildflower honey is so good for us—gentle energy, natural sweetness, and rich in pollens
  • Our bees are feeding on hedgerows, wild flower meadows and gardens up to 3 miles away.
  • Bees are essential pollinators for our diverse crop fields.
